There is a fine line between my work as an artist and my work as an illustrator, each influence the other. If my paintings are an expulsion of my personal experiences my illustrations embrace the other, they are an observation of the natural world, society and people's stories.  I use both digital and traditional techniques for personal and commercial projects.  Colours and simple forms highlight the joy and wittines of life, because it is the joy, the kindnesses and beauty in our daily lives that make our stories worthy.  As Thomas King said “you have to be careful with the stories you tell and you have to watch out for the stories that you are told because the truth about stories, is that's all we really are"
